1. What This Website Is

This is a private reference site with no government connection. It does not store official criminal files, submit paperwork, retrieve records, or conduct official checks.

Its role is to identify Kankakee County record custodians, including the Sheriff's Office, Circuit Clerk, Illinois State Police Bureau of Identification, and Illinois Sex Offender Registry, while also offering links to outside tools. Illinois public conviction dissemination through ISP is governed by the Uniform Conviction Information Act, 20 ILCS 2635, and public-body record requests are governed by the Illinois Freedom of Information Act, 5 ILCS 140.

2. Rules for Using This Site

You agree that you will not:

• Break any federal, state, or local law while using this site
• Use information you find here to stalk, harass, or threaten anyone
• Base hiring, housing, lending, or insurance decisions on content from this site
• Try to break into our systems or gain access you are not supposed to have
• Run bots, scrapers, or automated tools against our pages
• Do anything that slows the site down or blocks other people from using it

3. No Harassment, Stalking, or Discrimination

Do not use information from the site or a linked tool to stalk, harass, threaten, intimidate, or discriminate against anyone. Such conduct is prohibited and may be criminal. Illinois's Sex Offender Community Notification Law, 730 ILCS 152, specifically restricts misuse of Illinois Sex Offender Registry information. The registry supports public safety awareness, not vigilantism or unlawful discrimination.

4. We Are Not a Consumer Reporting Agency

We are not a consumer reporting agency under the FCRA. We do not generate background checks, credit reports, or consumer reports of any kind. Neither we nor our advertising partners provide services built for screening job applicants, reviewing rental applications, calculating insurance rates, or judging creditworthiness. You agree not to use data from this site or any linked tool to:

• Decide whether to hire or fire someone
• Screen potential renters or housing applicants
• Judge creditworthiness or set insurance premiums
• Determine who qualifies for licenses, permits, or government programs
• Do anything else that falls under FCRA rules

Any check needed for an FCRA-regulated purpose must come through a lawful official or FCRA-compliant provider, not this website.

Nothing here is legal advice. General explanations of Kankakee County records cannot determine how a charge, conviction, warrant, sealing rule, or expungement rule affects a person. Consult an Illinois-licensed attorney for legal advice.
